With Christmas decorations boxed up and stored away, our house was looking a little glum until I went on a hunt for mix and match neutral pillows that would take us through the winter. I rounded up my favorite neutral, cozy, and natural pillow picks for you to take a look at if you’re feeling a refresh for the new year is in order, too. *Links may be affiliate

One of my favorite decorating tricks is to keep our walls and furniture neutral. Doing this allows me to change the entire feel of the room relatively inexpensively for the season or the holidays, or whenever I feel like making a quick switch.
To spruce things up and give our space a cozy feel, I went on a pillow hunt for mix and match neutrals to take us through the rest of winter. I couldn’t resist putting a touch of my favorite color, green, in the winter whites and shades of gray. If green isn’t your favorite color, the best part of a neutral pillow medley is that you can swap out any color you like!
Mix and Match Neutral Pillows
Our living room is going through a subtle change. It’s not that I don’t like the way it looks now, but there are small changes that I’d like to see happen in this new year as my design style is growing and I’m learning how this new house lives.
When we moved, I found myself storing all of our old home decor and starting fresh with a more refined yet modern feel. Now that I’ve been playing around with new looks, I’ve been giving our white slipcovered couches a hard look as they are going on nine years old.
We’re not quite ready to buy a new set now, but when that time comes, I think I’m ready for cleaner lines and a more modern look. In the meantime, I’m over on Pinterest searching and Pinning for the next set.
For now, these new pillows are just what I needed to give our living room a cozy feel for the rest of the winter. The emerald-green velvet pillow is my absolute favorite. It’s from H&M home, one of my favorite places to get pillow covers for a song. Seriously, the best prices around, and for how often I change them out, that’s a necessity.
If your budget allows, this Cognac Leather pillow by Studio McGee is a splurge that’s high up on my wish list. The brown leather works as a neutral, so it’s an investment that will last forever and go with any colors or textures. It’s on my wish list right now.
Are you a fan of neutral, too, or is bold color more your comfort zone, or perhaps a mix of both? I’d love to hear about your style here or over on Instagram. Tag me and let me know!
